Arif Sari, is a full time Associate Professor of the department of Management Information Systems at the Girne American University, North Cyprus. He received his BSc. degree - in Computer Information Systems and MBA degree - (2008 and 2010) at European University of Lefke, and Ph.D. degree (2013) in Management Information Systems at The American University. He has been granted as Visiting Scholar of Sapienza University of Rome in Italy (2012).
He is an IEEE, ACM, and IEICE Member since Sept. 2012 and has published various papers, book chapters, participated in variety of conferences in the fields of Network Security, Network Simulation, Computer Applications, Mobile Networks, Information Communication Technologies, Mobile Network Security and Mobile Security Systems.
Dr. Sari is actively working on a research field tied to cyber security, data mining, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). He also submitted a book chapter to recently edited book on Digital Crime and Cyber Terrorism. The authored chapter was Sari, A. (2015). Dr. Sari has proposed 2 Special Issues in peer reviewed International Journals as Guest Editor of these Special issues in 2016 such as, " Special issue of Big Data & Cloud Computing Challenges" and "Special Issue of Security, Privacy and Trust in Network-based Security Algorithms in Big Data and Cloud Computing Challenges". Dr. Sari currently proposed special issues related with Economic Impacts of Cyber-warfare in Developed Countries and Diversification of National Cyber-warfare Strategies.
He is an author or co-author of additional three textbooks for students in the field of network, cryptography and cyber security and variety of other works, including papers in journals and conference proceedings, and surveys of cybersecurity field. His research interests include Network Security, Cybersecurity and Cyberwarfare, Mobile and Wireless Networks, Network Simulations, Security and Cryptography and Radio Frequency Identification Systems. He is reviewer as well as editor of many international journals and refereed conferences.
